Al Neely 
Chief Development Officer

Al Neely is Chief Development Officer with primary responsibility for the oversight and direction of all development projects. Mr. Neely guides Archstone’s development team, which currently has approximately $1 billion under construction.

Mr. Neely has 33 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to serving as chief development officer, Mr. Neely served as the president of the development division of Charles E. Smith Residential. Prior thereto, Mr. Neely was executive vice president and managing general partner of the New Height Group, a real estate and development company in Denver, with responsibility for the development and management of 2.5 million square feet of mixed-use property.

Mr. Neely earned a Masters in Structural Engineering degree from California State.
