R. Scot Sellers Chief Executive Officer
Under his guidance, Archstone has evolved into one of the most respected—and innovative—apartment companies in America.
In the last 14 years, the company has earned a leadership position in virtually all aspects of the apartment business including branding, capital redeployment and technological innovation. The company owns a unique portfolio of apartment communities in many of the most desirable neighborhoods in the nation's premier cities. With over 30 years of experience in the apartment industry, Mr. Sellers has been responsible for the development, acquisition and operation of more than $40 billion of apartment communities.
Mr. Sellers served as the 2006 Chair for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Multi-housing Council. In addition, Mr. Sellers was named as 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year in real estate for the Rocky Mountain Region by Ernst & Young. Mr. Sellers serves on the boards of The Howard Hughes Corporation, the CEO Forum, Ace Scholarships and Scholar-Leaders International. Prior to his role at Archstone, he held senior positions with Security Capital Group Incorporated and Lincoln Property Company.
Mr. Sellers received his M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from Lewis and Clark College.
