Archstone has been a national partner with Habitat for Humanity since 1999. Our partnership with Habitat is a natural extension of what we do best – providing exceptional homes to families across the country!
During the past nine years, Archstone and its associates have contributed both time and money to help build 70 homes for deserving families. Many of our business partners have generously contributed funds as well.
In 2005, Archstone signed a new five-year national partnership with Habitat. Under the partnership, Archstone has agreed to raise and contribute $1 million to Habitat over five years. (See press releases.)
In 2007, funds from that gift were shared among 12 Habitat affiliates for “Archstone Build Days” during the week of September 17, 2007. Our associates traded in their business attire for their favorite pair of jeans and worked on Habitat homes in the following metro areas:
- Atlanta
- Boston
- Broward County, Fla.
- Denver (two sites)
- Los Angeles
- New York City
- Oakland, Calif.
- Orange County
- San Diego
- San Jose, Calif.
- Seattle
- Washington, D.C.
