Archstone Santa Clara

Our neighborhood shares a unique history with the City of Santa Clara. The newly developed Rivermark Neighborhood, with its clean parks, luxury homes, and superb neighborhood markets, was once home to an historic medical care facility, the Agnew Developmental Center. Fast forward to 1971, the Lanterman Act resulted in the closure of the hospital and the restructuring of the State System. In 1996, the State of California sold 90 acres of the surplus State Land for sale. There was intense community interest in the land for future development and Sun MicroSystems aided in the development of the new Rivermark Neighborhood. Fifteen years later, Archstone Santa Clara is proud to be part of this historic neighborhood.
