Elan at Bluffview Grand Opening to Support Community Artists
Best Artwork to Receive Six Months of Free Retail Space for Art Gallery at Dallas Apartments
DALLAS – April 21, 2009 – In celebration of its grand opening, The Elan at Bluffview is inviting up and coming artists in the community and surrounding schools to participate in the first-ever Elan Art Contest. The winner of the contest will receive six months of free rent in one of The Elan’s open retail units for an art gallery to display their work as well as a $1,000 gift card.
The contest will be unveiled at The Elan at Bluffview’s grand opening celebration, “An evening of Art,” from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 24. The event, which is open to the public, will take place on the community’s property located at 3850 W. Northwest Hwy in Dallas.
“Archstone is committed to playing a valuable role in the communities where it offers luxury apartment homes,” said Dave Brackett, Archstone’s Executive Vice President of Operations. “We hope that this gesture will not only inspire young artists to further develop their talents, but also to give them an opportunity to start fulfilling their dreams.”
Artists can begin submitting their work online today, and must do so before the deadline on Friday, June 27. Contest and grand opening information can be found at www.theelanatbluffview.com/grandopening. The winner will be announced in July at an event to be hosted at the new art gallery space.
Along with the unveiling of the art contest, the grand opening event will feature a ribbon cutting to honor the completion of the new Dallas apartments, food and drink from Bugatti Ristorante, music sponsored by Envy magazine, the revival of the retail property next door to The Elan and prizes. More than $3,000 worth of prizes will be given away through a random drawing at the event.
Attendees will have the chance to take home a $1,000 cash prize in honor of the leasing expo or a $1,000 travel voucher, while residents of any Archstone property in the Dallas area will also be eligible to win a $500 rent credit. Gift certificates to Bugatti Ristorante and other local Dallas restaurants and retail establishments will also be given away.*
